Bailén Oil Mill Tour + Tasting

We'll start at the time you choose in the Picualia Olive Oil Mill on the outskirts of Bailén, one of the towns of Jaén most linked to the olive oil sector!

On this visit, we'll find out how the oil is obtained in the oil mill. The 'Almazara' is of Arab origin and refers to the press or mill used to extract the juice from the olives. The result is the "liquid gold", one of the main features of traditional Mediterranean gastronomy.

During the tour, we'll also discover how the province of Jaen has become one of the main areas for olive oil production in the world. We'll see how it's produced and learn the techniques used to achieve a unique product of excellent quality.

After visiting the oil mill, we'll enjoy a tasting of 2 olive oils of Arbequina and Picual varieties, and teach you to distinguish and appreciate these extra virgin olive oils, which have different varieties.

After 1.5 hours, we'll conclude the tour with an excellent taste of rich olive oils left on our palates.
