Shore Excursion to Pisa

Upon arrival in La Spezia, after disembarking, you can take the free shuttle to the cruise terminal. There, the bus will be waiting for you to take you to Pisa, one of the top destinations in Tuscany.

And what will we see there, besides its world-famous leaning tower? For starters, you should know that this building is not the only one that is slightly tilted - there are more leaning towers and palaces in Pisa! This is due to the marshy nature of the terrain, which yields to the weight of the buildings. Crazy, right?

Upon arrival, we'll check out the ancient walls of Pisa and cross the Porta Santa Maria to enter the Piazza dei Miracoli. You'll be impressed by the contrast between the green of its manicured lawns and the gleaming marble of the Duomo, the Baptistery of St. John the Baptist, and the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Did you know that this monumental complex is a World Heritage Site?

After admiring these famous monuments with an English-speaking escort, who will be with you during the tour, you'll have free time to take the popular picture holding the Leaning Tower - you can try different poses! Those who book the entrance ticket to the tower will be able to take advantage of this time to visit the interior.

Finally, at the scheduled time, we'll meet up again and head back to La Spezia so you can board your cruise ship on time.

Tour Options

During the booking process, you can choose between the following options:

Tour with admission to the Leaning Tower of Pisa: the most complete option because it includes the entrance to the Leaning Tower.
Tour with admission to the Leaning Tower of Pisa: this option does not include the entrance to the Leaning Tower.
Selg-guided tour: You'll enjoy Pisa at your own pace, without a guide and without the entrance to the Leaning Tower. We'll pick you up at the cruise terminal in La Spezia and take you back to La Spezia with plenty of time to catch your cruise ship on the way back.

Children under 8

Although children under 8 years old can participate in this tour, please note that cannot climb the Leaning Tower.
