Matera Bread Making Workshop

At the scheduled time, we'll meet up at 52 Via Nazionale and head to a bakery in Matera for our bread making workshop.

In the bakery, which has been run by four generations of family and is still going strong, you'll be immersed in the art and history of breadmaking. You'll discover what the main ingredients are and the key techniques used to make bread.

You'll also attend a practical demonstration during which you'll get your hands dirty, learning how to mix the ingredients, knead and shape the dough and finally bake it to make your own 100% handmade Italian bread. What's more, at the end of the experience, you'll get to take your bread home!

For the finishing touch on your workshop, you'll be treated to a tasting of typical Italian breads. Sample bread with oil, traditional tarallini and focaccia, washed down with a glass of wine.

Our activity will then come to an end after 2 hours of fun.
